Getting abstract with science

I recently got to work on a side project for some friends of mine. They have a friend who works in a lab and she took a fun picture of some kind of something (I can’t remember what it was) through a microscope. This image was passed along to me with the instruction to get creative with it.

Well, now I’ll probably be the first to admit it, this was a bit of a personal challenge for me. I don’t often work abstractly…I find it rather tricky to get my head around where the focal point should be within the artwork. Anyway, I worked up a few different variations for them and it turns out they’re actually going to get all of them printed and set them in a frame made for multiple images. I hope their friend enjoys them because I sure had fun with the creative process!
